Groundhog Day, February 1st at HYC

Hello Members, Partners, Kids, and Grandkids!

You’re all invited to join us for a fun-filled Groundhog Day celebration at the HYC, complete with winter activities and everyone’s favourite treat — BEAVERTAILS!
Event Details
Date: Sunday, February 1st
Location: HYC
Start Time: Noon

Itinerary
12:00 PM – Meet at the Clubhouse – We’ll kick things off with a scenic hike up to the viewpoint. Feel
free to bring ski poles and snowshoes. After the hike, we’ll head down to the harbour for some skating. Don’t forget your skates!

1:00 PM – Beavertail Time Meet back at the clubhouse to enjoy delicious sweet and/or
savoury Beavertails.

2:00 PM -Beach & Campfire – We’ll finish the day at the beach with a cozy campfire and a cup of hot chocolate. The kids (and adults) will have fun building snowmen, make snow angels or have a friendly snowball fight

Volunteers Needed

To make this event a success, we’re looking for 4 volunteers to help with:

• Snow clean-up
• Ice rink flood
• Fire starting

$15 per adult, $8 per child

In case of extremely bad weather, we’ll stay at the clubhouse and enjoy a kid friendly movie.
